The emptiness of the Scottish Highlands isn’t natural - stripped of their forests and apex predators long ago, unbridled deer numbers prevent regeneration. In Playing Wolf, a pair of conservationists step out to bring balance back to an ecosystem tipped off kilter by years of extractive land management. A gritty act of restoration, and a question about what each of us owes to the land. Playing Wolf is the third film in Human Nature, a series in collaboration with Earth Alliance on the interconnectedness between humans and the natural world.
